Z-Drift Compensation – keeping your research in focus
The new laser-based Z-drift compensator (ZDC2) ensures that your samples are always in focus, providing the sharpest images possible. The system features two working modes – continuous and ‘one-shot’ which enable the completion of any time-lapse experiments. The ZDC2 continually monitors the distance between the objective lens and the sample surface, thus maintaining accurate focus during even the fastest time-lapse experiments. In contrast, the ‘one-shot’ mode facilitates applications requiring multiple focal positions. Providing superior speed, accuracy and flexibility, the ZDC2 Z-Drift compensation microscope system is perfect for any live-cell imaging, maintaining optimal focus image after image, regardless of experiment length or complexity.
UIS2 - making the invisible visible
The new milestone in optical evolution - UIS2. See what you never saw before and protect your cells against harmful radiation. Superb signal to noise performance and enhanced spectral range deliver maximum signal with minimum excitation power. And the once more improved chromatic aberration correction guarantees highest colour fidelity.
Slim and Rigid
Reduced to the Max without any compromise for stability. The IX2 inverted research frames are unsurpassed in compactness with concurrent rocklike stability.
Fluorescence
Olympus fluorescence illumination combined with Olympus high definition ion coated filters. Highest signal to noise performance incorporating the wavelength accuracy, edge steepness and low autofluorescence of the UIS2 HQ-fluorescence-filters offer the potential for new discoveries. Innovative fluorescence detection methods like total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) and the disc scanning confocal unit (DSU) expand your view to surface phenomena (TIRF) and produce life 3D images (DSU).
Modular Motorisation
Motorisation is essential for full process automation. The Olympus modular motorisation concept allows you to choose the automation level depending on your requirements. The fully automatable IX81 comes with integrated motorised high-precision Z-drive, motorised nosepiece, motorised lightpath changer and programmable frame keys. Motorised modules for IX81 and the manual IX51/71microscopes include fluorescence and transmitted light condensers, filterwheels for illumination and observation light paths, shutters and stages. Everything controlled by a convenient hand switch or by our imaging software.
System Solutions
No matter if you just would like to archive your images, analyse multistained specimens or run automated experiments etc., the family of Olympus Imaging software packages has the right solution ready for you. From basic packages up to highly integrated solutions for imaging, microdissection, high content screening and more. Our field- and in-house specialists support you in finding the best solution.
